Sounds strange that someone is writing about the very basics of cooking, amidst the sea of chefs and cooks?
Yeah!! Strange but True. I've been getting queries and questions about such basic stuff on cooking, so I thought might as well make a journal of all basic stuff and give them the link when they ask.

Why the title Sweet Kaaram Coffee
For those who are from the other part of the world and dont know about SKC(Sweet kaaram coffee). It is kind of a slang used in India to denote a mild evening time brunch/tiffin.
When some one wins, gets promoted, gets engaged etc then they treat their friends with S-K-C.
Literally S-K-C means a sweet/dessert(Sweet), a spicy snack(Kaaram) and a coffee(indian style brewed fresh filter coffee).
Ofcourse, now this terminology has almost vanished and has been replaced by the universal word "Treat"
But I still wanted to have that name for a blog.
